Forde is the crunchier and sweeter of the two California walnuts we grow, and its robust, nutty flavor comes through with nothing added, good enough to eat straight from the box.
Everything comes in one lined box of loose walnut halves and pieces. It is heavy, so open it in your walk-in or freezer, where it will keep best. They can be transferred to zip-top bags for easy storage. Shipping is free, heavy box and all.

What is the difference between Forde and Chandler walnuts?
The Forde is crunchier with a robust, nutty flavor. The Chandler is mild and creamy with a little hint of bitterness. If you are ordering for the first time and cannot decide, a bag of each is the quickest way to find out which one is yours.
How are your walnuts different from other walnuts?
Two things. We farm regeneratively, for the health of the soil and to cut back on synthetic inputs. And freshness matters a great deal to us. Our walnuts are stored cold and handled carefully until they ship, so what reaches you tastes the way a fresh walnut should.
Is there cross contamination with other nuts?
Our walnuts are processed and packaged in walnut-only facilities.
How much is shipping?
Orders of $60 or more ship free, and every bulk box ships free. Orders under $60 ship for a flat $14.99 anywhere in the United States. If you are new to us, join our email list and your first order of $30 or more ships free.
What is the best way to store walnuts?
In the refrigerator for the short term, and in the freezer for the long term.
What if my walnuts are not fresh?
Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace them or refund you, whichever you prefer, and you keep what arrived. Our freshness guarantee has the details.
