Walnut Pie

Crust:

1 1/4 c. Flour 

1/2 c. Butter

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/4 c. Milk

Or pastry of your choice 

Filling: 

1/4 c. Butter

1/2 c. Dark brown sugar

3/4 c. Maple syrup

3 eggs

1/4 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 1/2 c. Chopped walnuts 

Crust: Put first 3 ingredients in a food processor and pulse until butter is in small bits. Add milk while continuing to pulse until dough comes together. It may not all come together but will be wet enough to press together. Roll dough, using plenty of flour, into a circle to fit an 8 inch pie pan. Transfer dough to pie pan, trim and crimp edges.    Filling: Melt butter and add remaining ingredients. Pour into pastry and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes, until filling is set. Cool completely and enjoy!
